Nev goes to Germany
By Roberto Millan
Nev went to Germany – An autobiographical document of first love and love lost. Nev went to Germany consists of appropriated visual journal entries, made during a time of heartbreak and later placed into a narrative sequence. The comic is designed to be worn around the neck as a pendant, close to the heart, both an accessory and an identity construct.

I’m an illustrator, cartoonist and picture book artist based in Cape Town, South Africa. I currently work full-time as an illustrator for Stellenbosch comic-book studio Jincom Publishing and have extensive corporate experience as a colourist and graphic designer. In 2008, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Information Design at the University of Pretoria and later a MPhil in Visual Arts (Illustration) at Stellenbosch University in 2012. Comics, editorial illustration, safety manuals and picture books are my specialty and I’m good to go for most commercial illustration work and graphic design.
