Poem and painting by Gladys Bedminster

I came to painting seriously in 2008 after a deep reflection on the place of humans in nature and the world. I take inspiration from the impressionist artists and I find for me that painting is yet another way of expressing emotions through a quest for beauty and illusion. For me, painting is a more instinctual act than writing, and the two art forms are completely separate from each other.
